Crisis Behavior
Plan
Plan
If a student's behavior results in a crisis and he/she becomes harmful towards his/herself and/or other students, the Crisis Behavior Plan should be implemented immediately:
1. Send the "Leader of the Week" to the office with a crisis behavior card.
2. If unable to remove the student in crisis, send the rest of the class to Ms. Bryant's room
3. Use redirection, if possible, to help the student in crisis regain self-control. Remind the student of the replacement behavior.
4. Once the crisis has been resolved, return the rest of the students back to the class.
5. Debrief the students and address any questions and concerns.
6. Notify the parent(s) immediately of the incident.
7. Document exactly what happened.
